Beormund's Pastoral Support Team

Welcome to the Beormund Pastoral Support Team.

I would like to take the opportunity to myself: — Alice Harvey — Pastoral Support Manager — aharvey@beormund.southwark.sch.uk

My role is to work closely with families who may need some extra support. We are here to listen and offer suggestions and advice on a variety of areas, such as behaviour management, secondary transition, help filling out forms, providing support at meetings and appointments. I can also sign post you to other specialist services in your local area.  I“m also here if you just want a general chat!

Working closely with parents and carers is key to the development of pupils whilst they are at Beormund Primary School. We also understand that parents and carers need support too. Parents and carers can communicate with our Pastoral Support Support Manager should they have issues or concerns regarding themselves or their child.

Home Visits

As part of the admissions process, we visit families in their own home. This allows us to gain a holistic view of the child’s needs and how we as a school can better support them in the transition process. We believe this personalised approach benefits both the school and families in the long term.

Please visit our POLICY DOCUMENTS page of the website and click on Beormund's Holistic Assessment Policy

If you have any further queries or questions, please feel free to contact us using the contact details above.

 Coffee Mornings

Half termly coffee mornings are held for parents and carers at the school. Past coffee mornings have offered help and support for secondary transition, information on EHC Plans healthy eating guidance with our school nurse and planning for Family Fun Day. Most importantly though, coffee mornings offer an opportunity for parents and carers to meet each other and share their experiences.

We hope to see you at the next one!
