Shine mentors have been supporting children at our school for many years. They offer one to one support each week and our children have found this to be a valuable experience. The children have enjoyed the consistent support that they offer.

Our School Nurse, Sarah Beech offers support to families and children through one to one assessments, coffee mornings and class workshops. The topics covered have been personal hygiene, healthy eating and fitness.
The school works closely with the local Police and we have regular visits from our local community Police Officer. He has run class workshops where the children have been able to ask him questions about his job. He has also led assemblies on various topics including, road safety, stranger danger and E safety.
We raised money for Fareshare by growing vegetables in our school garden and selling them at Borough market.
Hands on London organised volunteers from various companies to come in to school to run a regeneration project. They painted outside areas of the school, concreted the front of school and cleared up the garden area.
At Christmas, the Waterloo Foodbank kindly offered to donate food parcels to all families at Beormund. It has been valued by families and helped them through the holiday break.
